Children who are under this town’s Child Care Development Centers (CDC) received free reading and writing books from Mayor Niño Tayco in a simple ceremony on October 7, 2025.
Mayor Tayco also made his rounds of Pasacao’s 19 barangays to deliver the books to each CDC and greet the children who are under the care of the hardworking barangay child development workers.
The books were purchased by the Municipal Government of Pasacao as part of Mayor Tayco’s thrusts for childcare and education for the youth under his flagship program HATAW Pasacao.
Mayor Tayco, in a post on his official Facebook page, said the main objective for the distribution of the books is to foster the love for reading and writing among the youngsters, leading to increase in literacy among the children of Pasacao.
