Four groups from four barangays in Pasacao received financial assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Sustainable Livelihood Program on October 7, 2025.

Mayor Niño Tayco led the distribution of the checks, that were earmarked for the development of livelihoods and meant to motivate Pasaqueños to venture into entrepreneurship, in a simple ceremony at the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Building in SigNature Park, Barangay Sta. Rosa del Norte. The four groups that benefited from the program were the SLP Associations of San Cirilo, Dalupaon, Sta. Rosa del Sur, and Caranan.

The groups received checks worth P180,000 up to P280,000 from the DSWD program and the Municipal Government of Pasacao. The SLP program was created to reduce poverty and improve socio-economic conditions for vulnerable households.

Mayor Tayco said that he hopes that the financial aid would enable the beneficiaries to further expand their current livelihoods or help them to start new businesses.
