Mayor Niño Tayco reported that the municipality of Pasacao has recorded more than P71,000,000 income from revenue collection in the third quarter of 2025 or from the period of July to September.
Mayor Tayco, during the celebration of his first 100 days in office last October 8, said that the town gained a total of P71,454,600 income, a significant amount compared to the revenues collected in the same period in 2024.
“Due to this, we can see in the comparison with last July to September 2024 (data), we recorded an increase of around or amounting to P12,000,000…” Mayor Tayco told Pasaqueños who gathered at the Municipal Covered Court to hear his State of the Municipality Address.
The mayor credited this achievement to the collective efforts of the various offices under the municipal government of Pasacao.
He added that this is also a result of the efforts and projects launched during the first few months of his return to office as mayor of Pasacao after he won the mayoral race in May 2025, following his stint as Board Member of the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur.
He explained that these projects involved the completion of new infrastructures, rehabilitation and renovation of existing structures, additional trainings, aid, and benefits for small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and organization of events that encourage that drew more clients and patronage to participating businesses.
The mayor cited the newly-opened Pasacao Food Court where the food stalls that used to congest the pathways of the neighboring StrEAT Park were transferred last August.
“We gave the vendors a clean and comfortable area where they could cater to their customers,” Mayor Tayco said.
Mayor Tayco also cited the Pasacao Night Market and Agri Trade Fair during the celebrations of the 24th Pasa-Pasa Ikaw Festival and 140th Pasacao Town Fiesta last August as another factor in the increase in revenue collections. He said by providing the opportunity to local businesses to showcase their products and services for more than a week, Pasacao and the participants generated close to P300,000 income which further boosted the town’s local economy this year.
