PASACAO, Camarines Sur – Mayor Niño Tayco headed the distribution of free school supplies from the local government unit (LGU) of Pasacao to students on Monday (June 1, 2026).
Coinciding with the opening and kick-off ceremony of Department of Education’s Brigada Eskwela, the distribution of free school supplies was conducted in Pasacao Central School, Pasacao National High School, Balogo Elementary School, Dr. Lorenzo Ziga High school, Quitang Elementary School, Odicon Elementary School, Bahay Elementary School, Rolando Andaya High school, Itulan Elementary School, Odicon Elementary/Integrated School, Hubo Elementary School and Bagong Silang Elementary School.
In his Facebook post, Mayor Tayco described how happy the children and their parents were with the gift of pad papers, pencils, crayons, and notebooks.
Despite the heat of the Summer sun, Mayor Tayco, officials of the LGU, and municipal employees worked tirelessly to bring the free school supplies to the kids.
Mayor Tayco said that this is an effort of the LGU to equip students with needed materials for school amid rising prices of goods.
The distribution continues until the beginning of the school year later this June.
